Fandom Horrorfest : The Master Of Horror

In Hamilton, there’s a song where they sing about Alexander Hamilton, James Madison and John Jay working together to write the Federalist Papers. In the song, there is a part where Aaron Burr is narrating it and he says “In the end, they wrote 85 essays in the span of 6 months. John Jay got sick after writing 5, Madison wrote 29. Hamilton wrote…THE OTHER 51!” It’s a very impassioned moment and one that shouldn’t be taken lightly by any means.

If there was ever a musical about the Fandom Correspondents, when they got to the song about Horrorfest they would be singing about my friend, Red Lanyard.

Red Lanyard(Al) and I have known each other for over 10 years now and I honestly barely remember even asking him if he would be a part of The Fandom Correspondents. In a way, he was always there even when it was just me. We were servers together at a restaurant when I started the site and he would always talk me through articles and things like that but even beyond that, he has been one of the truest friends I’ve ever had.

When he came up with the idea for Horrorfest, I initially thought that it would be a weekly thing or something like that seeing as how he is managing to keep up with school, his work and his social life, I had simply assumed that eventually his contributions to FC would take a small hit but this is a man who refused to let that happen. That’s just who he is, and even if he forgets it sometimes I’ll always be there to remind him that he is deeply loved by us all, that he’s the man who can do 33 Horrorfest articles while finishing grad school and that he’s the true Master Of Horror.

Love you Brother.
